MassageLine Qualified Team
I qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist in the late 1990s in the Czech Republic and during the next decades upgraded my Massage Therapy skills in the UK and in Australia.
In July 2008, I finished a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy and created Massage Line.
I continually update my skills and knowledge by attending massage therapy workshops and courses.
I finished my Myotherapy diploma in November 2016.
To me, massage is not a luxury. It is a necessity in everyday life. I care about my health and wellbeing and believe we all can live happy, healthy lives without excessive use of medication and chemical intervention. The third sentence may sound selfish. It is not. Because I care for my health, I also care for YOUR health. I truly do. That is why I became a massage therapist. I advocate for massage being used as a tool to improve people’s lives. Massage has relaxing, therapeutic, renewing and rejuvenating properties. It is not a cure for everything, but it is an excellent aid in helping one feel better and more comfortable in everyday life. Massage is a facilitator in triggering the body’s natural self-healing response when it comes to musculoskeletal and also emotional issues. I prefer a message to be used as ‘maintenance’. Maintenance means prevention and prevention is always better than cure (even doctors would tell you that). Regular massages can help to keep ‘in check’ and to ‘re-connect’ with one’s body and to know your body and what it tells you is of a great benefit.
Each treatment I perform is tailored to the client’s individual needs. However, I have developed a way of working that is very specific to me. My signature massage. The way I treat my clients is the way I like to be treated. Systemic and thorough. I care for the environment I treat in, I care for the quality of the treatment I perform, and I care for the safety and wellbeing of every and each client. My work is a reflexion of my personality. And what is all that to you? Well, be sure that in my clinic you will be very well looked after.
Amy is an independent massage therapist working form MassageLine clinic on Thursdays and Saturdays
Amy studied at Southern Schools of Natural Therapies in Fitzroy, graduating from Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2012.
Since then Amy has been working in clinic and day spa, alongside other modalities such as myotherapy, physiotherapy and Pilates instructors. She has worked for Melbourne’s top day spa’s and volunteered for several charities and sporting events including the Sacred Heart Clinic, Melbourne Marathon and the Women’s Circus.
Remedial massage is so rewarding to her because of the results she sees in clients. Helping people relieve and manage their pain, while advising them in ongoing muscular health is what she aims for. Throughout her career she’s had great opportunities to educate clients about how powerful massage can be.
Amy uses a combination of skills that are ideal for chronic muscular pain and injury. Including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release, dry needling and cupping. She is also qualified in pre and post natal massage and manual lymphatic drainage.
With each treatment Amy gives her clients a treatment plan and advise on how to care for their injury after their massage. So clients can continue the benefits long after the massage has ended.
